Lightly used The long 12” blade is clean - no rust or grinding marks - just minor age/ patina the sheath has nearly 99% of the original finish - The grips have the original varnish ,..show minor handling and one ding on the left side , from honest war time wear - never sanded or refinished - the scabbard has the all of its original dark blue black finish No Rust dents the frog stud is stamped x CSZ with the m Lion proof & “ E and 35 “ ( 1935 ) a difficult to upgrade example - Guaranteed WWII German issue - secondary arm ( GEW 24 ) the Germans modified all the captured CZ bayonets - by machining off the muzzle ring ( any m24 with an intact muzzle ring indicates that It is non German WWII issuance ) Don’t pass it up ! The blade is stamped on one side at the ricasso with ‘ČSZ i ‘ ČSZ stands for Československá Zbrojovka, the state arms factory in Brno. The M1924, or VZ 24, was the first bayonet adopted by Czechoslovakia after its independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918.
