Description: WW2 British ARMY map of ITALY entitled "SIENA". Scale 1:100,000 Produced in August 1943 ahead of the Allied Invasion of Italy which took place between 3rd - 16th September 1943. In very good condition for its age, with a very small and insignificant edge repair (see last few photos). This has been carefully carried out using a specialist, clear acid-free (non-yellowing) archive restoration tape of the kind used by museums and libraries etc. The presence of official ink stamps relates to time it spent in the library of a Middle Eastern university.
