Description: A fantastic original WW2 BATTLE of NORMANDY map entitled "FLERS" which also features CONDE-SUR-NOIREAU - a critical road and river crossroads that was heavily bombed on D-Day to prevent German reinforcements heading for the landing beaches. This area then saw fierce fighting as part of the Allied push to close the "FALAISE POCKET", and the German counterattack towards MORTAIN. Produced at a detailed scale of 1:50,000. Printed in January 1944. In field used condition, with clear evidence of which area it was most used in due to the presence of Battlefield dirt. There is a detached area in the left margin along the central horizontal fold, which shouldn't be a problem if handled carefully. Will be shipped as per its existing fold lines.
