For DVDs and Blurays, it is as follows: Brand New Movie comes sealed in shrink wrap or some sort of factory bag or packaging. There may be minor damage to the shrink wrap, but the movie is brand new and unopened. Like New Item is near flawless and looks as though it was just unwrapped. There may be very minute signs of use, but they will be barely noticeable. Disc will always be mint condition. Very Good Item has some visible flaw or flaws, but is still in very nice condition. There may be minor shelf wear to the case, or a bit of damage or sticker residue. The disc may have minor scuffs and scratches, but only a few very light ones that will not affect playback.
