Description: Homemade Replica of the Dress that Flora & Fauna made Princess Aurora, Sleeping Beauty. Hello ~ This is a 'wanna be', homemade, Disney inspired copy of the gown we see in the animated movie Sleeping Beauty. Flora, Fauna and Merryweather combine efforts and want to make Princess Auroras 16th birthday a wonderful event.However, cleaning, cooking and sewing just aren't in the trios skill set. After failures at all 3 chores they decide it was time to take the magic wands out of hiding....and the preparations begin to come together. Flora is tasked with making Aurora's Birthday dress....however....there is some arguing over the color. Flora demands pink and Merryweather wants blue ~ and battle rages on inside the cabin. This dress is about 10" tall and 8" in diameter (the skirt flare).I used a doll body to make the dress form. The stand is a note holder. It is stable.Non breakable. Check out photos of the dress ; that is the item offered in the sale. Additionally : I have included photos with the WDCC Fairies pictured next to the dress. Hopefully it can answer questions re scale and give you a sense of the size in relation to the 3 fairies. In some of the photos I have used candlesticks, boxes, or small baskets to elevate the statuary pieces for display purposes.I'm attempting to illustrate how the dress can be used as a center point to create a stop action vignette with interest.I did this for my SIL and made the scene in one of her large lighted curio cabinets : it was her favorite shelf. I am helping my nephews sell her vast collection of WDCC figures. It has been a difficult process for all of us; they keep their favorites and pass these on when they can separate for them. This one brought back tearful but happy memories for me.
