Description: Offered as-is and as-shown is a vintage 1950s, early 1960s rectangular Wilardy pearly white lucite purse, cosmetic case, or minaudiere, brass with rhinestones, engine-turned swirls interior finish metal, and metal mirror, missing its original small lipstick. (Be aware that case will not accept a contemporary lipstick tube.) The exterior brass brightwork is excellent on all sides, the tortoise-shell color comb comes with its sewn pouch and possesses all its teeth, and case is not personalized or engraved in any way. Some face powder remains beneath the small square pad! Please note that the chromed metal mirror exhibits some hazing on its left side, that the glue around a couple of the rhinestones has yellowed, that some very light and fine scuffing may be seen on close inspection of the underside, and that there is plenty of room behind the mirror for keeping cigarettes or cash (see photos). Brass-tone chain extends about 15 inches. These were well made, beautifully and tastefully designed pieces, flashy yet sweet and classy!
