Vtg German JOLLY JOE TIMMER Pressed Embossed Cardboard Die cut AD Calendar Xmas

Description: For Sale: Beautiful vintage pressed, die cut advertising calendar wall art. Made in Western Germany from pressed cardboard and/or sturdy paper, it is also embossed and intricately die cut, was an advertising calendar over 50 years ago. The small paper page calendar attached to the front of this item was located just below the advertising for "Jolly Joe Timmer's Grove." The calendar is no longer available. The unique design on this vintage decoration is Christmas oriented as seen by the Christmas Bells and Holly in the center at the very top and a winter scene, snow covered cottage, pine trees, deer a small foot bridge all enhanced with snow. The die cut lacy border is covered lightly with white glitter. This item measures approx. 7-1/4" x 9-1/4" at tallest & widest point. This item is in good condition, there is some very slight edge wear. There is a small hairline on the front left near the right bell about 1" but the item is still very beautiful. The name "Germany" is located at the bottom in raised lettering. There is a small hairline near the word Germany and one other. The bottom of the calendar has a "pocket" attached above where the small paper calendar would have been. The advertising on the pocket reads, "Jolly Joe Timmer's Grove - Point Phillips, Rt. 1, Bath, PA 18014 - Polka Fun Center Phone 215-865-1941." Jolly Joe Timmer was a very popular man who promoted Polkas and German Dance Music with his band. Jolly Joe was a star attraction at the annual Musikfest in Bethlehem each year.
