Dormeyer Mfg. made many mixer models and there are few clear records of when various models were manufactured. There were vertical and horizontal motor models. They are credited as having the first portable (handheld) mixer and the first mixer having detachable beaters (before 1930!) Dormeyer was also first to have a completely chromed mixer and stand with stainless steel bowls in 1955.
