Description: Vintage est 1950's (most of all the lighting on the property was replaced then and hasn't been touched since, it could be older but 1950's but the design style seems on point for the 1940-1950's.) It was used up until recently, we had just taken it from 100+ year old historic home in East Texas. The upper post is a eagle design, the exact style of the eagle use to commonly be seen on vintage lighting items in the area so I'm guessing a local company may have produced these back in the day. They're getting fairly uncommon to see even around here as people are updating. The upper portion seems to be made out of copper, it has a naturally formed tarnish/patina. One of the little screws on the top is missing so it can flip open to access the inside (note, this has been installed and missing for over a decade and it's never been flipped open by the wind so it doesn't appear to be needed unless you're in a excessively wind prone area). We wiped down the glass a bit just because it was excessively dusty but we've intentionally left the rest of it as it is for the buyer to decide if they want to use it as it is, or clean it up. The wiring is use-able, it's been patched into a few times so it may be ideal to cut it further back and tie into it properly. The entire lighting assembly is easily accessed so it could be gutted and replaced with more modern types if preferred. Comes from a Smoke Free and Pet-Free home.
