Description: Selling a Vivitar 283 Auto Thyristor Universal Camera Flash for Canon AE1, Nikon FM, Pentax cameras. Also an adapter is included. No chord. Can get on eBay for under $9. Normal scuffing from use. Wife of prior owner said it worked. Husband died 3/2024 and wife was selling his camera equipment. I had a question from an eBayer on picture of the battery area that I included. He also wanted to know if the flash worked. I do not know how to test it short of hooking it to a cable or camera. I did put 4 AAA batteries in and pushed the button on the back with no response. Was this was supposed to activate the flash? Possibly the battery terminals need to be cleaned.
