Description: VINTAGE WOODEN CHAPEL NICHE Offered for sale is a chapel niche (decorative shelf for displaying a large saint statue) made of simply carved wood with a glossy finish. This chapel niche is pre-Vatican II and was previously used at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Dayton, Ohio. The niche measures approximately 30 inches tall and can accommodate a statue up to 24 inches tall. There is a metal hanger on the back so that the niche can be bolted to the wall. There are 5 felt circles on the back to prevent scratching the wall. Condition is VERY GOOD+. The niche is sturdy and well-preserved with only a few tiny rub marks on the interior panel and a faint scrape on the base (see photos). Previous vendor's pricing info written on reverse side, invisible when the niche is hanging on a wall. Otherwise in excellent shape and ready for use.
