Description: Presented is a fine quality men’s wristwatch made by Wittnauer. The watch has a square face with raised gold bars for the chapters and a sunken subsidiary seconds dial at the six o’clock position. The case is done in 14K yellow gold. The watch has the old 17 jewel mechanical movement. The watch is marked Wittnauer on the dial, the case, and the movement. The case is also marked 14kt Gold. We have tested the case with nitric acid and guarantee it to be 14K gold. This watch was probably made in the 1940s or 1950s. The condition is excellent. The watch winds well and is keeping accurate time. We have tested the watch for the past week. There are no cracks, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. There is a very tiny chip near the 6 o'clock position on the edge of the crystal, it can just be seen in the first photos. The watch has a brown leather band with 7 adjustments for sizes between 5 1/2 inches and 7 1/4 inches. This band could easily be replaced with virtually any band of your choosing.
