Description: This is another example of the lamp work beads from Western Germany made in the 1960’s. They look speckled with delicate shades of green. Each bead is made over a torch and the speckles were made by sprinkling small bits of darker glass on the beads while in the torch. These beads are heavier than pressed beads and they feel wonderful in your hands and in your designs. Lamp work beads are made one at a time and each bead is a little different in size and shape, and in other small details. They measure from about 6mm to about 8mm and the hole is about 1mm.
