Description: Vintage Takahashi Porcelain White Basket with Chickens Design & Red Wire Fence - Japan Cute little porcelain basket with hand woven wicker handle with chickens. The design consists of 2 chickens on both sides with a background of red chicken wire fencing. The colors are reds, whites, yellows, greys, blacks. The hand woven handle is flipped up into the basket and has a very detailed design woven in at the top of the handle itself. The makers emblem is stamped at the bottom underneath of the piece. Excellent condition, no chips or cracks. I find many of my pieces in homesteads and sales and estates where they have been for many years. They were all loved once by someone. I love finding so many different and unique items, I think of myself as 'saving' them so that they can become useful again and brighten someone's day. I price my pieces lower than the large label companies so that they find new homes faster.
