Description: Vintage Chalkware rooster figurine with working thermometer, Rossini, Made in Japan, . Made in the 1960's the rooster is straddling a farm fence with flowers and grass around it. Nice bright colors - red, green, yellow, black, gold, brown and cream - cold hand-painted. He has a light glaze with a bisque type finish. There are some paint/glaze skips (see photos) but are from the original painting and are not chips. This piece has the original foil sticker on the bottom, so it's not a reproduction. He is 8 inches tall, 5 inches long and 2 3/4 inches wide. No damage, cracks or chips. Perfect for mid-century or vintage farmhouse decor.
