Description: I do not know the ownership history of this rug, so the following is my best guess based on my research. Please ask any questions you have and I will do my best to answer. The rug is mainly wool, but there are several very thin white threads on the rug, and when I pulled one out it reacted to a flame like a synthetic would. This leads me to believe it it's a wool/synthetic blend, dating it to the 1950s or 60s, or possibly later. It has the distinct chinle pattern, corner tassels, color scheme, and large selvedge indicative of an authentic Navajo rug. There is some light staining visible in bright light on the white spots, I've done my best to photograph it. It only became visible when I took this rug outside to use in other eBay photography, in indoor light I had no idea. I believe it would clean well, but haven't made any attempts to clean the rug beyond lint rolling.
