Description: Like new. This book, the work of Simon Greco, sets forth the principles of perspective with simple diagrams, easy to read text and excellent examples showing the application of the principles as they relate to finished drawings and paintings. Perspective is approached from the standpoint of the artist and painter rather than the mechanical or architectural approach usually given the subject. Mr. Greco, a noted teacher, painter, and illustrator, is well known for his work in connection with the Life Magazine series of the Epic of Man. Originals of his commercial commissions are in collections of the U.S. Naval Academy, The Smithsonian Institution, the American Museum of Natural History, Adirondack Museum and Betsy Ross House. As a fine arts painter his work has been exhibited at the University of Penn- sylvania, the Addison Gallery of American Art, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, the Whitney Museum of American Art, and many others. At present Mr. Greco teaches at the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, Conn., the Adult Education Program in Westport, Conn. and is a member of the guiding faculty of the National Institute of Art and Design.
