Description: This lovely vintage Hull Potteries (Ohio) vase is a wonderful example of the artistic craftsmanship of the USA potteries. From back in the day, these colorful vases were produced for florist shops. If you received a bouquet sometime in the 1940s to 1960s it most likely was in a Hull vase. Measuring approximately 6 1/2" tall, 5" wide from handle to handle and 2 3/4” in diameter at the base, the bottom of the vase has raised lettering and reads Hull Art U.S.A-12-61/2". The vase has been well cared for over the years and is in excellent vintage preowned condition with no chips, hairlines or restorations. As with all older pottery there are some manufacturing bubbles, bubble pops and variations in the paint but these do not distract visually or functionally. The bottom edge of the vase is unglazed and has a bit of roughness which was done to help prevent slipping. Even though Hull Pottery no longer exists, the wonderful items it once created can still be collected and enjoyed as they are very durable and were made to last for many years. A perfect way to display a silk floral arrangement year round or the fresh spring and summer flowers soon to come!
