Description: This wonder is from the Ida Outhwaite Elefes and Fairies Series, 79. It's titled, "The little Green Road to Fairy Land." The Artist: Ida Rentoul Outhwaite, an Australian, also went by Ida Sherbourne Rentoul and Ida Sherbourne Outhwaite, (9 June 1888 – 25 June 1960). Over the years, she’d built a strong reputation as one of the world’s top illustrators of children's books, artwork and yes, postcards. Her work has often depicted magical creatures, such as elves, fairies and goblins. She is cherished to this day in her native Australia and around the world. The postcard is part of the Enchanted Forest franchise, and is an original lithograph from the Inter-War Outhwaite era (1918-1939). It feature a fairy witch roping the moon. The postcard is in Very Good condition. The colors have remained rich and vibrant. It is nearly an antique, which means it is almost 100 years old. It has been well-preserved. The card only has a few minor corner bumps and some edge wear. It has postmarked and sent. The postcard measures the standard size of 3 1/2” x 5 1/2”, and comes mounted (without adhesive) and matted using museum grade archival acid-free materials, that will fit a 8" x 10" frame. It is a perfect addition to any collection of postcards, especially for those who loveart, animals, nautical and seascape themes, as well as fantasy and fairy tales.
