Description: This vintage pottery dog figurine is either Grindley, or Chic pottery, both out of Ohio in the 1930's. I have done a lot of research on this guy. Both companies made similar wares, but usually the connected eyebrow is attributed to Chic and their Hill Billy line ( hillbilly). But I have also seen the same eyebrow and eyes attributed to Grindley Artware in a photo given by Art Grindley Jr to a website I did research on. Whichever one it is.... this guy is rare in this particular pose, and size. He measures about 6" and has some weight to him. I find no chips or cracks etc. Very very good condition for the age.
