I think it is decoupage on a dark brown wood composition frame with gold gilt corners.It has a highly lacquered front. There is a photo of a young boy who appears to be wearing Dad's cowboy Hat & Shirt & is trying on Dad's cowboy Boots, His puppy is curiously looking on- there is a verse that reads 'Mom says I'll fill these boots someday-I know we'll both be glad...She says it's bound to take some time before I'm big like Dad...I want to be just like him but I have one fear...These big ole boots still fit the same as they did last year. On the very bottom of the picture, there is a company name that has been partially hidden by one of the corners, the part that is visible says ...ABENE ART Publishing Co.,Inc. West Nyack, N.Y. There is a slight scratch .75" in size on facial area, that I see from one direction, but not from the others, I was unable to get a photo, There is a dot spot on right side on 'mat' across from puppy's tail that appears to be under the glaze, & the back has some brown smudges on right side middle ways. It has a built in hanger to hang plaque (see Photo 6). Without close inspection (I do so with a magnifying glass) the picture appears new, but I try to list anything I find, I do not wish to deceive my customers on condition. I know this plaque is 22 years old at least, that's how long it has been in my house, but for it's true age I am not certain. Thanks for Viewing!
