Description: This is a vintage Catholic Church holy water pot and sprinkler, also called an aspersorium and aspergillum. The pot is metal and has a liner and handle. It measures 6.5 inches tall, not including the handle. The top of the pot is 5.25 inches in diameter. The sprinkler is metal, possibly brass or copper, on a black-painted wooden handle. It is 9 inches long. I cannot find any maker's marks on the set. I have lightly polished the holy water pot, but there is still some tarnish, especially in recessed areas of the design. The base is flat and does not wobble, but the upper part of the pot leans to one side, as can be seen in the photos. The pot has some small dings and surface wear. The metal portion of the sprinkler has some greenish patina consistent with aged copper or brass. This is a nice vintage set to add to your collection.
