Description: Nice Cathedral Window quilt/coverlet featuring window panes that measure an incredible 2.5 inches from tip to tip. The foundational backing is a relatively bright white, and the windows on the top are a very interesting, striking and charming mix of colors and prints. Cathedral Window quilts are mostly all handmade and handsewn, and they take many, many hours (sometimes years) to create. They do not have the traditional batting sandwiched in between. This quilt has flaws. There is staining on the back, but does not go through to the front. Because of age, use, wear and wash, there are a few holes as shown. They are hard to see if laid out on the bed, but they are there. I will leave it to the buyer regarding any repairs. I am good, but not that good to repair something like this. Since the holes are not getting worse, I would suggest leaving them be. Measures approximately 89x68 and shown on a queen bed, which is about 80x60. Addendum: The edges of this quilt has ruffles, which add a bit of flair to the already colorful window panes. However, they can be removed if so desired.
