All Over Blue Design On White 7 5/8 This serving plate is part of the famous Valencia series consisting of cups, saucers, plates, tureens, cutting boards and more. The Valencia series is famous for its midnight blue color and Arabic looking design (the city of Valencia was ruled by Moors in the middle ages). Ulla Procope was responsible for a whole series of famous designs at Arabia. Ulla, who died young at an age of 47, started her career as a potter at the Arabia factory in 1948 and later she moved to the design department in 1951 at the invitation of Kaj Franck.
