Description: Vintage 1972 Chicago Schwinn Collegiate 22” bicycle frame in the Sierra Brown color. Includes the fork and headset assembly, chain guard, crankset, rear derailleur cable guide, seat post, and seat post clamp. This is the Sierra Brown Collegiate model #722 from the 1972 Schwinn catalog. This frame comes from a bike that had been stored in a garage for many decades and it was covered in dust and grime when I got it but careful cleaning revealed that it had not seen a lot of road use. There are some scratches and scuffs as shown but everything looks nice overall as I’ve tried to show in the photos. The headset and crank will need to be serviced, I’m pretty sure it’s still the original 52 year old grease in there from Schwinn. It will be shipped by the least expensive carrier, usually FedEx ground home delivery for large boxes like this: 45”x27”x9” with a shipping weight of approximately 27 lbs.
