Being sold as a partial parts lot only.***********This seldom seen vintage 1970's Zodiac diver watch bezel/insert/mid-case/case back parts lot, which came from the estate of an old school career watchmaker who passed away in his mid 90's, is in lovely condition showing minor wear. This may be a prototype as I'm not familiar with this particular reference. The thick, grooved bezel ratchets unidirectionally and the multi-colored insert, which shows wear, presents nicely. The insert's inverted triangle lume emits a short-lived glow after being exposed to bright light. The massive all stainless steel case shows honest wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outside of the case back, which is torqued too tight for me to remove, is stamped "ZODIAC WATER TESTED TO 20 ATM" and "1192-737." The inside of the case back is stamped "Zodiac Ltd" followed by "Le Locle Swiss,""ACIER INOX,""BREVET +" and "503.305." Using only a ruler the case measures approximately 44 mm and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 12 mm. The lug to lug distance is approximately 47 mm. All pictures were taken in natural light and at various angles, so please study the 24 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of these parts.
