Description: Vintage 1968 Timex Electric 35MM Backset Date Watch 91242 Running READ Great working Order. Please see pictures for detailed condition. Watch has been: lightly cleaned, new battery, polished, new gasket with water proof sealer if needed Watch is working and holding time.I keep the band as found as I feel it pairs well with watch. Dial is marked Great Britain. I suspect this to be a 7 jewel mechanical electric watch. I have another one listed form the same year. I was unable to remove crystal as it feels glued down and didn’t want to damage the dial or movement. Please note when setting the time in forward position second hand spins forward. When setting backwards it doesn’t move. This doesn’t affect movement of seconds hand while running or time keeping of the watch). These are becoming harder to find in running order as most have been destroyed by battery damage.
