Description: Vintage 1962 Vojtech Kubasta "Marco Polo" Pop-Up Book This book is beautifully illustrated by V. Kubasta. It was printed in Czechoslovakia and published in 1962 by Bancroft & Co. Westminster, London. It measures 9x13 inches, expanded on pop-up. The book cover is made of heavy cardboard and is bound by fabric tape. The eight page story inside is stapled to the inside of the binding. The back two pages of heavy cardboard fold out into a magnificent full color pop-up scene showing decorated elephants linked with the original red ribbons. This book is in very good condition for its age and the pop-up scene is beautiful. There are no torn pages or writing inside. The cloth strip is starting to lift away from the book, there is some slight wear to the covers and a little bit of wrinkling/paper creasing on the pages of text.
