Offered here is an ALMOST complete set in accordance with the playset contents checklist from Plastic Figure and Playset Collector in their final issue # 76, with a couple of additional palms/ferns. Although incomplete, this set is a timeless, certifiable treasure of the best of Marx skilled craftsmanship for jungle / wild animal figures. 14 (out of the original 15) large hollow hard molded plastic animals are included, along with 2 (out of the 6) original poses of soft plastic monkeys, a hard plastic molded lake, cave, and 2 rock formations, 6 palms trees with palm tops, and 6 ferns with bases. Animal figures in this set include: the adult ASIAN ELEPHANT bull, the ASIAN ELEPHANT calf, the GREATER INDIAN ONE-HORNED RHINOCEROS, the HIPPOPOTAMUS, the GORILLA, the LESSER KUDU ANTELOPE, the BEAR, 2 LIONS (in beige & brown), 2 TIGERS (in beige and brown), 2 GIRAFFES (in beige and brown), 1 KANGAROO (in beige), and the other Kangaroo (brown) is missing and NOT INCLUDED. Take notice that a few of the animal figures/palm trees have damage (see photos). Damaged items include: Rhino (horn tip), baby elephant and hippo (tail), antelope (leg & horn), and palms (tree tips). The box has also some damage: lifted areas of the paper where stickers and tape were once applied, creasing and tearing of cardboard especially along edges and tape applied to reinforce box at some point (see photos), but arguably does not detract from the overall graphics and nostalgia of an included original box. I have used extreme care in packing both the contents and the box and there is no avoiding the weight or large size of this parcel. After all, the true value of any item is not merely the cost, but what it means to the buyer to receive it undamaged.
