Description: Vintage 1920's Black Silk Velvet Dress. Alll of the Velvet is original. There is replacement Beige silky fabric on the bodice and on the wide lower cuffs to match the fabric of the original wrist ties. Bust 36" Waist area 32" Hips 39" Dress is 48" long from shoulder to hem. Hem is 74" around. Shoulders 14" across. Sleeves are 25" long with 17" wide lower sleeves ending in 7" tied cuffs. See photo #12. Dress pulls on over the head. There are no back or side openings. The opening at the head is 26" around. The only difference between the front and the back of the dress is that the back is 2" higher at the neck. The dress is made of panels of velvet, not one continuous piece. There are two areas on the skirt that have been quilted to give the skirt a little fullness. The one of the front is 6"x4" See photo #13. And 5"x2" in the back. See photo #14 The dress is in excellent wearable condition with no holes or stains and all seams intact. Packaged to mail it weighs 1 lb in a 15x10x4 envelope.
