Description: Vintage14k Gold Modernist Fancy Laser Cut Marquise Pale Blue Topaz Diamond Ring Click images to enlarge Description Offered today is a unique vintage solid 14k yellow gold modernist fancy laser-cut pale blue topaz and diamond ring. Blue topaz is December's birthstone. This stone is SO COOL--instead of being faceted on the top as most gemstones are, this one is cut on the pavilion (underside / bottom), giving it all kinds of angles like a kaleidoscope when you look straight down into it. It's very reflective, more than the photos show. This is a nicely made ring in very good condition. The top and bottom points of the topaz are protected by chevron tips. The sides are actually open (and NOT chipped or damaged!) The topaz measures about 12 x 8 mm and is approximately 3.25 carats. It is flanked by a 2.2 mm diamond on each side, bringing total carat weight to about 3.33 ctw. The shoulders of the ring have a ribbed cable pattern and rise up to meet the head in a bypass fashion. The face measures 5/8" north to south. The ring is hallmarked 14kP (P for "Plumb Gold", a term meaning exactly 14k, no more and no less). Also a maker's mark. It weighs 2.9 grams, and is a size 7.75, and is sizeable by any competent jeweler. It is in excellent vintage condition.
