Victorinox Spartan NT Swiss Army Knife BUSINESS WEEK

Description: The Spartan Swiss Army knife is the most popular of the full-sized knives from Victorinox. I carried one for years. It has been manufactured in various colors over the years. This Spartan NT is traditional red and grades out as a B+, not new but nice enough to carry. It has no tweezers or toothpick but I’m calling it a Spartan rather than a Weekender because I have seen identical knives in original boxes marked “Spartan”. The front scale has a large inlaid logo for Business Week magazine. The Spartan is full-sized (3.5 “/91 mm) but it weighs only a little more than 2 oz. (59 grams) and is only 0.5 “ (13 mm) thick. It is a two layer SAK containing large and small knife blades, a can opener with small screwdriver, a bottle opener with large screwdriver, awl, corkscrew, toothpick, tweezers, and key ring. I am primarily a collector, but searching for new and unusual models often brings me duplicates and perfectly useful knives that I cannot keep. I share these on eBay. I classify knives by condition according to the scale below. Grading Scale: A+ new in box, with paperwork. Box may be worn, but the knife has never been carried, sharpened, or used. Collector or museum quality. A new or like new, but no box or paperwork. Collector or museum quality. B+ Excellent condition, no obvious wear, clean, tight, complete. Good for a collector, but probably not a museum. B Excellent condition with some wear on the scales (handles). Clean, tight, complete, but the Swiss cross may be barely visible. A great carrier but not pretty enough for a collector’s display. B- Some wear but still an excellent carrier. Clean, tight, complete. C+ A good carrier. Clean and complete with excellent utility value. C A good used pocketknife but nothing more. Everything is there and it all works, but if you dropped it in the creek you might not jump in to retrieve it. D Sold as is. Might be useful for parts or dissection. F You’ll never see this because they end up in my trash can. If you are not happy with your purchase when you get it, send it back. I’ll refund your purchase price.
