Description: Antique clothing button was produced in the 1800s. The button is made of clear, lacy style glass -- which is molded /. embossed to depict a paisley design. The button has a layer of silver paint on the back, plus some gold paint decorating the front, as enhancements to the design. There is a brass shank embedded in the back. Please refer to the ruler pictured in the image for the exact button size. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The button has some wear on the silver paint on the back, which is mainly only visible when held up to the light. However, the button has no cracks, chips, or other more serious flaws. It is overall in very nice shape and it will display well. My mom -- Nancy Moran -- was a longtime member of the National Button Society, plus was active in several local button clubs in New York.
