Description: Up for offer is a very rare majolica pedestal plate with a bird and branch with leaves and flowers, done by the every short lived American pottery factory of Eureka Pottery from Trenton N.J. 1883-1884. Done in very beautiful majolica colors of pink, blue, green, brown and yellow with a lovely moulded turquoise boarder with a dirty yellow rim, repeated on the stem and around the base, the boulder is repeated on the base, it has a dark stippled background that looks like ray skin. This pedestal plate is in very good condition with no chips cracks or repairs, there areas were the glaze did not take but no damage at all. The plate is 9” in diameter and 5 1/4” high, the diameter of the foot is 4 1/2”. Just to mention, the plate does not site quit level, there is a very slight wobble, I just want to mention that, still it is a very rare survivor from 140 years ago in near perfect condition, also there seems to be a decorators mark on the bottom of a black H, buyer pays $45.00 towards shipping to Canada and the lower 48 states of the U.S. outside North America please ask for a shipping price.
