There are five holes in each ferrite round core. Copper wires are skipped through holes: three wires -- through the bigger central hole and two ones -- through four the rest smaller holes The multi-hole magnetic resistance modulation core is a special storage element, the information in which is not destroyed when read. Unlike the classic biax, it has five holes, rather than two mutually perpendicular ones. The board along with 2 diode matrices each of 20 diodes is one of 32 boards forming a ferrite core memory cube. The presented item has been removed from the military computing device. On Pic.11-12 one can see undismantled cube as a part of long-term storage device from Onboard Digital Computer of jet fighter.The photo of the cube is for illustrative purposes; the cube itself is not for sale.
