The daily activities of the American air company "Fox Alaska", located near the North Pole, is subordinate to intelligence. The Americans persistently pursue the idea of raids of Russian nuclear submarines under the ice cover of the North Pole. A lot of strength and resources are thrown by the air force in search of these mythical boats. At the center of the film, pilot Jim and his love for Brenda, the daughter of Air Chief Commander Colonel Reed. Brenda is the bride of Senator Gray, whom she accompanies on the pre-election tour to the pole itself. She sympathizes with Jim and leaves Gray. Embarrassed Gray decides to take revenge, and when, due to unfavorable meteorological conditions, Jim's plane suffers a disaster and is rescued by the Russians, Gray uses the case and writes a denunciation, accusing Jim of spying for the Russians.
