The blade is straight, unsharpened, and not nicked. There is very little wear to the finish. The pommel finish is very good, slightly rough on the right side to the rear of the grip. Nice and smooth otherwise.The wooden grips are in very good condition. There's no cracks or damage. The screw is good,with a nice straight slot.The scabbard is of the M3 design, made by Beckwith/Victory Plastics in late-1942 to mid-1943 for the Navy and thus marked "USN MK 1". The scabbard is in very good condition. It has not been re-painted and the tip is not damaged. The Beckwith mark under the top plate is B 3/3N. The scabbard looks to have been with the bayonet for some time as both pieces had remnants of hardened Cosmoline or similar preservative on the metal.Overall an excellent Rock Island bayonet.We have a large stock of firearms related items, including original military and commercial parts, reloading equipment, scopes, holsters, tools, books, knives, bayonets, and similar items with more added daily.
