It is 7.75" in length. The knife is in good condition with light scratches. It is straight and shiny with serrations on the knife edge. TWA was an American airline that operated from 1930 - 2001. TWA was the first air carrier to offer coast-to-coast service. Back then, it took 36 hours to fly cross county. In the 1940's, TWA flew the popular Lockheed Constellation prop driven four engine aircraft. In 1946, TWA offered trans Atlantic service to Paris and Italy. TWA continued to expand during the 1950's - 1970's. The 1980's brought problems to TWA due to airline deregulation. Profits were hard to come by and TWA filed for bankruptcy first in 1992 and again in 1995. The financial problems continued into the 2000's and TWA filed for bankruptcy for a third time. The parent company of American Airlines, AMR Corp, bought up TWA's assets in April, 2001. The end of the road came on December 1, 2001 when the last flight was flown under the TWA name.
