You assemble the two rings using the four spacers on your tube using thick CA (don't glue the guide to the tube!) Set the guide and tubing on a flat surface to make sure everything lines up while it dries. Once dry, you can slide it to the required length and use it as a straight edge to mark and cut your tubes.
