Description: They Live By Night (1949) Wrongly convicted for murder as a teen, "Bowie" Bowers (Farley Granger) breaks out of prison with two other criminals, Chickamaw (Howard da Silva) and T-Dub (Jay C. Flippen). While hiding out, Bowie meets Chickamaw's niece, Keechie (Cathy O'Donnell), and they bond. Wanting to clear his name, Bowie decides to participate in a robbery with the others, so he can afford a lawyer. As he gets drawn further into crime, Bowie contemplates running away with Keechie and starting over. Side Street (1950) Worried that he can't support his pregnant wife, Ellen (Cathy O'Donnell), on his meager income as a mailman, Joe Norson (Farley Granger) impulsively swipes $30,000 from the office of sleazy attorney Victor Backett (Edmon Ryan). But when Joe's bartender pal, Nick (Ed Max), takes off with the ill-gotten cash, Joe finds himself trapped in a chain of double-crosses and misunderstandings, hunted by both Backett's murderous henchman, Georgie (James Craig), and the New York City police.
