Description: Here is a small circa early 1980s vintage promotional movie poster for the 1977 Japanese movie The War in Space (listed as 1978). From Wikipedia: The War in Space, released in Japan as Great Planet War (Wakusei Daisensō"), is a tokusatsu science fiction film produced and released by Toho Studios in 1977. The poster is on stiff cardstock paper and measures 11” x 16”, just slightly larger than a lobby card, and says “Galaxy Two” at the top. I found it along with posters for 12 other movies at an estate sale, they were part of a movie advertising press kit “Galaxy Two” from Gold Key Entertainment, aimed towards getting the movies onto television stations. The films range from 1974 – 1980, so the kit was put out shortly after that. I think they are scarce images; I did a reverse image search for each one and am not seeing any matching items out there. The kit folder mentions “designed by Stursberg & Hewitt, LA/NY” which there is not very much reference to online. The kit only contained 13 of the original 15 posters so I am selling individually and I’ve shown the kit in the last 5 photos, for reference only. Unfortunately this one has a horizontal crease going along the lower section, see the photos for the exact condition. Buyer pays $8.50 shipping within the US for any number of the posters.
