Probably issued without a dust jacket. This 'Violet' book is the rarer/harder to find Peter Smith Publishing hardcover edition from post-1966, tho exact year unknown. Likely pre-1982. **Copyright page shown in the photos does not represent this particular edition, as Peter Smith Publishing did not include updated copyright info in their versions. This later edition ISBN number might be: 0844607576. Peter Smith specialized in reprinting rare & hard-to-find softcover books into hardcover limited editions, mainly for collectors & libraries. He utilized original text editions, in this case from Dover 1966 editions, and also used the same exact dust jacket art. He did not include his own publishing data onto the copyright page or the dust jacket. "Peter Smith" printed onto the outer spine was the only clue of a reprint. Condition:Overall in 'Very Good++' condition. Appears unread/unused. Covers look very nice. No marks, stains or corner bumps. Only one tiny ding to the front cover, bottom right. Inside hinges are still strong/sturdy. Spine titling is nice and bright. Interior - virtually pristine within. No dog-eared corners, no writing/highlighting/markings or funny smell.
