Description: A very good or better copy of what has become a quite scarce 1967 Random House first edition of Marshall McLuhan's 1960's classic in a very good, unclipped dust jacket. The book is actually titled "The Medium is the Massage" due to a mistake from the typesetters, but McLuhan obviously had a sense of humor, and when he saw the error, he loved it and Random House kept it as it was. Condition: Tall 4to 160 pages - Publishers' original black and white pictorial cloth boards, titles to spine in black and white, black endpapers, top edge dyed black. A bit of rubbing to the corners, some foxing to the white cloth along the edges and a name and a 1967 gift inscription in ink on the half title page. The dust jacket with the $10.95 price is in nice condition with wear along the edges, a couple of small, closed tears and some foxing visible on the jacket verso. Overall, a very good copy of the hard-to-find 1967 first printing with dust jacket.
