Painted cover by J.G. Jones. A beautiful day at the Mount Rushmore National Memorial is interrupted by the sudden appearance of a red dust cloud over the famous sculptures. In a matter of minutes, the strange cloud drifts over the Visitors Center and into the nearby town of Keystone. Tragically, almost every person exposed to the cloud is dead or dying. Casualties in South Dakota are in the thousands. What has happened? Is this a bioterrorist attack? Enter Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Captain America leads a team of seven avengers into Keystone and quickly develops a course of action. Warbird will go to Custer State Park and assist the evacuation, while the other avengers don protective gear and head into the cloud at the base of Mount Rushmore. Godspeed to all. Avengers Lineup: Ant-Man, Captain America, Jack of Hearts, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Vision, and Warbird. Part 2: Red Zone Part 2 of 6. "Infections" Script by Geoff Johns. Pencils by Olivier Coipel. Inks by Andy Lanning. Painted cover by J.G. Jones. Below the magnificent Mount Rushmore, six brave avengers wade into the red cloud of death. Cap, Wanda, Ant-Man, and She-Hulk -- in their respective hazmat suits -- plus the Vision and the Jack of Hearts carefully walk through the forest among the dead...until they make a shocking discovery. This catastrophe might have been a research accident...not an intentional act by a foreign or domestic enemy. In the meantime at the Centers for Disease Control, Iron Man and the Black Panther quarrel with the surly Secretary of Defense about the best response to the disaster unfolding in South Dakota. Cameo appearances by Dr. Bill Foster, Peter Gyrich, and Warbird. (Notes: This six-part story was reprinted in 2010 in the hardcover: Avengers Red Zone. The Marvel Premiere Edition collects issues #65 thru #70.) Part 3: Red Zone Part 3 of 6. "Unclassified" Script by Geoff Johns. Pencils by Olivier Coipel. Inks by Andy Lanning. Painted cover by J.G. Jones. Earth's Mightiest Heroes are stunned to find a secret bioweapons lab below Mount Rushmore. They can't believe the deadly dust cloud was caused by a government research project gone awry. From inside the lab, Ant-Man contacts Tony Stark at Stark Enterprises and relays the information about Project Bloodwash. But before the golden avenger or T'Challa can do anything, they are attacked by the Secretary of Defense's special ops unit! What is going on? Why doesn't the Department of Defense want to work with the Avengers? In the meantime back in South Dakota, the conditions inside the red zone are wearing down Cap's team. They need to get out of the biolab and into fresh air -- before it's too late. Cameo appearances by Peter Gyrich and Redwing. Avengers Lineup: Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain America, Iron Man, Jack of Hearts, Scarlet Witch, She-Hulk, Vision, and Warbird. Part 4: Red Zone Part 4 of 6. "The Great Escape" Script by Geoff Johns. Pencils by Olivier Coipel. Inks by Andy Lanning. Painted cover by J.G. Jones. Deep inside the red zone, Earth's Mightiest Heroes are in deep trouble. She-Hulk becomes exposed to the red dust and reverts to Jennifer Walters. The Vision is seriously injured. Cap and Ant-Man are down, and the Jack of Hearts is out. Leaving only the Scarlet Witch to crawl from the wreckage of the underground lab...and seek help. Meanwhile outside the Pentagon, the Secretary of Defense ambushes the Falcon and Peter Gyrich. In fact he shoots both of them! And then he says something in German. Oh no! Cameo appearances by the Black Panther, Tony Stark, Warbird, Redwing, and the Red Skull. Part 5: Red Zone Part 5 of 6. "The Great Escape" Script by Geoff Johns. Pencils by Olivier Coipel. Inks by Andy Lanning. Painted cover by J.G. Jones. On the outskirts of our nation's capital, the Red Skull stands triumphant! His master plan to infiltrate the U.S. government and release the red dust cloud over South Dakota has been a smashing success. And with Earth's Mightiest Heroes a shambles, the sinister skull looks unbeatable. Is the dawn of the Fourth Reich on the horizon? In the meantime at Mount Rushmore, Warbird arrives to rescue the battered and bruised avengers. Just the Scarlet Witch and the Living Legend are still on their feet. Wanda stays in South Dakota to stop the spread of the deadly cloud, while the Sentinel of Liberty heads east to Virginia -- for a showdown against the Red Skull! Appearances by Pepper Potts and Peter Gyrich. Avengers Lineup: Ant-Man, Black Panther, Captain America, Falcon, Iron Man, Jack of Hearts, Scarlet Witch, Vision, and Warbird. (Note: The first issue of the JLA Avengers limited series -- the long-awaited Marvel-DC crossover -- was also published this month.) Part 6: Red Zone Part 6 of 6. "The Great Escape" Script by Geoff Johns. Pencils by Olivier Coipel. Inks by Andy Lanning. Painted cover by J.G. Jones. Inside the dark halls of the Pentagon; Captain America, Iron Man, the Falcon, and the Black Panther wage a bloody battle for freedom against the Red Skull. But once the evil mastermind subdues the first three avengers, only the King of Wakanda is left standing. Wow, it's the Black Panther vs. the Red Skull in hand-to-hand combat to the finish! Can T'Challa turn back the skull's demented dream for America? Meanwhile in South Dakota, the Scarlet Witch casts a massive hex to hold the Red Zone in stasis. The long road to recovery has begun! Appearances by President George W. Bush, Peter Gyrich, Redwing, Jarvis, Ant-Man, Jack of Hearts, Warbird, and the Vision. WandaVisionWandaVision is an American television miniseries created by Jac Schaeffer for the streaming service Disney+, based on Marvel Comics featuring the characters Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch and Vision. It is the first television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise, and is set after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame (2019). It follows Wanda Maximoff and Vision as they live an idyllic suburban life in the town of Westview, New Jersey, until their reality starts moving through different decades of sitcom homages and television tropes. Schaeffer served as head writer for the series, which was directed by Matt Shakman. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their respective roles as Wanda and Vision from the film series, with Debra Jo Rupp, Fred Melamed, Kathryn Hahn, Teyonah Parris, Randall Park, Kat Dennings, and Evan Peters also starring. By September 2018, Marvel Studios was developing a number of limited series for Disney+ centered on supporting characters from the MCU films such as Wanda and Vision, with Olsen and Bettany returning. Schaeffer was hired in January 2019, with the series officially announced that April, and Shakman joining in August. The production used era-appropriate sets, costumes, and effects to recreate the different sitcom styles that the series pays homage to. Filming began in Atlanta, Georgia, in November 2019, before production halted in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Production resumed in Los Angeles in September 2020 and wrapped that November. WandaVision premiered with its first two episodes on January 15, 2021, and ran for nine episodes, concluding on March 5. It is the first series, and beginning, of Phase Four of the MCU. The series received praise from critics for its homages to past sitcoms and for the performances of its cast, especially those of Olsen, Bettany, and Hahn, though there was criticism for the finale. It was widely discussed and analyzed by fans based on various popular theories, as well as by commentators for its exploration of grief and nostalgia. The series received numerous accolades, including 23 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, winning three. Olsen reprised her role in the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022), which continues Wanda's story from WandaVision, while the spin-off series Agatha All Along premiered in September 2024 and focuses on Hahn's Agatha Harkness. Another spin-off focusing on Bettany's Vision is scheduled to be released in 2026. Agatha All AlongAgatha All Along is an upcoming American television miniseries created by Jac Schaeffer for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character Agatha Harkness. A spin-off from the series WandaVision (2021), it is intended to be the 11th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, via its Marvel Television label, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Schaeffer serves as showrunner and lead director. Kathryn Hahn reprises her role as Agatha Harkness from WandaVision, with Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza also starring. Development began by October 2021, with Schaeffer and Hahn attached, and the series was formally announced the next month. Schaeffer, Rachel Goldberg, and Gandja Monteiro were set as directors in early 2023 ahead of filming, which took place from January to May 2023 at Trilith Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, and in Los Angeles. Cast and crew returned from WandaVision, including the series' musical team. Several different titles were announced for the series as part of a marketing campaign before the official title of Agatha All Along—referencing the song of the same name from WandaVision—was announced in May 2024. Agatha All Along is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on September 18, 2024, with its first two episodes. The other seven episodes will be released weekly until November 6. It will be part of Phase Five of the MCU. ShippingEconomy shipping provided.
