Description: Tapestry is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Carole King, released on February 10, 1971 on Ode Records and produced by Lou Adler. The album's lead singles, "It's Too Late" and "I Feel the Earth Move", spent five weeks at number one on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Easy Listening charts. Tapestry has been certified 14× Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), making it one of the best-selling albums of all time. In 2000, it ranked 74th in Colin Larkin's All Time Top 1000 Albums, and in 2020, it ranked 25th on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Tapestry won four Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Song of the Year and Record of the Year. In 1998, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. THIS COPY is a 1st Terre Haute pressing on the Ode Records Inc. label from 1971. The vinyl has some visible light scratches and marks, but per a test listen, nothing that affects playback. Overall, the vinyl is in Very Good [VG] condition. The original gatefold sleeve has rubbing on the front, and a partially erased "To"/"From" inscription near the top right corner (see photo). Inside the gatefold, it is pristine. Overall, the cover is in at least Good [G] condition. The original inner sleeve is missing and has been replace by a brand new white inner sleeve (see photo). Notes"T1" etched in runouts denotes a Columbia Records Pressing Plant, Terre Haute, pressing. Label variation: STEREO, catalog number, side number and matrix number on left side; title and track listing on right; all rimtext is capitalized. Issued in gatefold sleeve.
