Description: Brand new 3 gauge brass shells for a signal/yacht cannon. 4 1/2” long. 1.209 inside diameter heavy wall. Takes Winchester 209 primer and 2 oz of black powder. Should be able to reload a shell many times. Shell weighs 10 oz. Fits 1 3/8” breech. This listing is for shell(s) only I have no cannon for sale. The brass shells are again brand new reproduction. Make sure that your breech is clean, who knows if it was cleaned properly over 100 years ago. I was toldthat mine was very dirty with caked on black powder. It needed to be cleaned thoroughly before any shells could be made for it.These shells were made on a CNC machine, so every shell will be the same from the first to the last shell. These shells are tapered.Loaded up 3 shells for Memorial Day services and they performed exactly as I hoped. The cannon was very loud with 2.1 oz of BP.If you just want to try your cannon shells just put in a 209 primer, it is louder than I thought. I load the shells by using my drill press as a arbor press. I use a 5/16” brass rod to seat the primer and a 1/8” pin punch to remove the fired primer. Let me know if you have any questions.
