I have 40 oz bottles, so I didn’t need to cut the straw size. Though, it’s very easily labeled on where to cut, so I’m sure it would be easy to manage. With these lids and straws, I have yet to have that problem at all. I'm able to use any of my straw or lid brushes to clean them and I never have that weird taste of either soap or possible mildew or mold that may be trapped in the lid or straw. I even tested these on a water bottle that I had purchased from Dutch Bros. and it fit on their water bottle as well. The only issue I had with that bottle is that the straw is a little too long for their bottles.
