Description: Up for sale is a "Science" or "Vulcan Medical Scanner" as seen in the TV Series, Star Trek. It was originally used by Dr. M'Benga to treat Spock who had been wounded while visiting a planet in the episode, A Private Little War. It was also used by Dr. Daystrom to scan computer equipment in the episode, The Ultimate Computer and is my favorite scene.The scanner is machined from aluminum based on rare, archival photos along with the same model and type of switches used on the original, which are now hard to find. The scanner runs on a RGB LED which pulsates and twinkles randomly (see video). The LED uses new technology randomly displaying up to 7 different color combinations including purple. These new scanners are now less than 3 ounces in weight!A single cell 3v battery comes pre-installed so it's ready for use. Also included is a set of instructions on how to replace the battery along with battery specifications.
