Description: This is a museum quality reproduction of a circa 1870s holster for a Colt SSA 7 1/2-inch barrel made by R. M. Bachman of Florence, MT. The belt is a pebble grain money belt in size 38 for a 44-45 cal. cartridge. The holster is suede lined of the Cheyenne double-loop design with ornate border tooling and a caped bottom. It is an accurate reproduction of the work of leather maker F. A. Meanea of Cheyenne, WY that is now revered as a collectable. R. A. Bachman's work is featured in the book, Packing Iron on page 205.
