This being number 145 of 300 copies, unpaginated, illustrated with 17 full page coloured plates, 6 of mammals and 11 of birds, including frontispiece of Argentine Eagle. The plates all have clean and original tissue guards. The frontispiece tissue has a crease. Some Birds and Mammals of South America is quarter bound by the publisher in blue morocco with hand marbled paper and cellophane jacket. There are some slight scuffs to blue cloth slip case. The spectacular and fine colour plates were printed by L van Leer of Amsterdam. The text is by The Curwen Press, with the blue Morrocco binding by Zaehsdorf of London. The plates are simply stunning.
